A shrine to the memory of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, the Wu Hou Shrine of Chengdu is the only shrine in China dedicated to both a prime minister and his sovereign. Anyone who has a serious interest in Three Kingdoms culture simply must visit the shrine. There are around 47 clay figures of the Shu Kingdom, standing in two rows according to rank. Created by folk sculptors during the Qing Dynasty, these clay figures are a major acquisition for the shrine.
Wuhou Temple, the only temple shared by the emperor and ministers in China, is built to worship Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang 1,500 years ago. Zhuge Liang is a famous strategist and politician in Chinese history. People, who love the culture of Three Kingdoms but fail to visit Wuhou Temple while in Chengdu, are not the real fans of Three Kingdoms. With green old cypress and surrounded by red walls, Wuhou Temple faces south with Front Gate, Second Gate, Liu Bei Hall, Gallery and Zhuge Liang Hall successively. On the west part, there are Liu Bei's Mausoleum. Second Gate will lead you to Liu Bei Hall and West Hall and East Hall. From the gallery, you can get to Zhuge Liang Hall and the west wing room and the east wing room. A double-quadrangle architectural structure is thus formed. Liu Bei's Mausoleum (called Huiling in history) lies on the left side with a height of 12 m and perimeter of 180 m and a stone tablet of "Tomb of Emperor Zhaolie of Han Dynasty" in the front. Tang Tablet, towering between Front Gate and Second Gate, built in the 4th year of Yuanhe Period of the reign of Emperor Xianzong in the Tang Dynasty (809), more than 1,200 years ago, is the most important cultural relic of Wuhou Temple. It was honored as the "Three Great Contributions Tablet" in the Ming Dynasty because of the unparalleled wonderful article, calligraphy and the merits of Zhuge Liang praised.

Jianmen Pass Scenic Area
Jianmen Pass located at the northeast side of Dajian Mountain, main peak of Jianmen Mountain, 33km north of Jiange County is of great military significance in the history and there is the famous ancient Shu Path. Jianmen Pass was built on steep Dajian Mountain (also called Jianmen Mountain but "Liangshan Mountain" and "Jianshan Mountain" in history). Most of the 72 rolling peaks are formed by bare stones, so it is the "Land without Earth". The peaks towering in clouds form a natural defense wall, which has won Jianmen Pass the name of "Key to Shu Path". The two rocks of Dajian Mountain standing opposite to each other are steep as if cut by knife. The 7m wide bottom of the valley forms the only way through the great castle of Dajian Mountain, on which Jianmen Pass was built for military purpose. Here one man guarding the pass will stop ten thousand from getting through.
There are several hotels near the scenic area.
On the northeast side of Mt Dajian, the main peak of Mt Jianmen, 33km to the north of Jiange County Seat.
