Located in Ngawa Tibetan-Qiang Prefecture, Mt Siguniang (Four Girls Mountain) is a group of four perennially snow-covered peaks. The youngest girl (the smallest peak) is slim and elegant, and when people talk about Mt Siguniang, they usually refer to this peak, said to be the most beautiful - it is one of the ten most popular destinations for mountain climbers in China. A nationally significant tourist destination and a national nature reserve, Mt Siguniang has a well-protected natural environment with flourishing wild-life. Its peaks, canyons, clouds, and creeks are all marvels to the senses and they enthrall enthusiastic visitors.
Siguniang Mountain at 6,250m altitude ranks only next to Gongga Mountain (known as the King of Mountains in Sichuan) and is honored as the Queen of Mountains in Sichuan, a Holy Mountain in the East and one of the Famous Mountains in China. Siguniang Mountain consists of four successive peaks lined up from north to south within 3-5km with separate heights of 6,250m, 5,355m, 5,279m and 5,038m. The scenic area, 220km away from Chengdu City, spans more than 2,000 and consists of Siguniang Mountain, Balang Mountain, Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley and Haizi Valley.

Famous Attractions 

Yaomei Peak 

Yaomei Peak at 6,250m altitude ranks only next to Gongga Mountain (known as the King of Mountains in Sichuan) and is honored as the Queen of Mountains in Sichuan and a Holy Mountain in the East. Siguniang Mountain was listed as one of the Top Ten Famous Mountain in China to Climb in 1982, one of the Key National Parks of China in 1994, one of the first National AAAA Tourist Attractions in 2000, one of National Geoparks in 2005 and World Heritage Site-Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries in 2006.

Haizi Valley 

Haizi Valley is an important component of Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area. There are more than 10 mountain lakes with clear waters, including Large Lake, Flower Lake, Floating Lake, White Lake, Blue Lake and Yellow Lake.Thanks to these lakes, the ancient alepidote fishes survive and become the living fossils to understand the land today. The tour to Haizi Valley can only be available on foot or by horse. However, due to the long distance, ordinary tourists can hardly reach the place with real alpine lakes, and generally they can only reach Guozhuang Pasture and Chaoshan Pasture.

Changping Valley 

Changping Valley is not only a beautiful natural landscape, but also a rare ancient battlefield. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, the Qing Imperial Court made two conquests to Jinchuan County and fought here. The remains are rare to see, but the swords and guns at that time remains in the imagination. The Tibetan villages are dotted in the Valley with Guozhuang Platform for annual sacrifice of Holy Mountain-Siguniang Mountain and Lamaseries. Changping Valley is attractive for its vast sky gently over the valley.

Erguniang Mountain 

Located at the west of Xiaojin County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan, 230km away from Chengdu City, Erguniang Mountain is between Sanguniang Mountain and Daguniang Mountainat 5,454m altitude. Erguniang Mountain, consisting of three valleys at the junction of Xiaojin County and Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture, is a high peak of Qionglai Mountains in Hengduan Mountainous Region. Erguniang Mountain is endowed with a beauty of enthusiasm and sincerity.

Walking routes

trekking in Mt Siguniang from Changpinggou to Bipenggou in Lixian County necessitates spending a night in the open and climbing to an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. Although amateur mountain climbers can achieve this, it is nonetheless very fatiguing and can be somewhat dangerous if care is not taken. Climbers are strongly advised to travel in groups of three or more people and to enlist the help of an experienced guide and baggage carriers.
