The beauty of Donghe river is the perfect combination of the mountains, stones and water.
Here stands the magnificent mountain.its fantastic shape is like a magnified bonsai scenery, and a miniature of the Huangshan peaks. Along the ditch, the mountain stretches, some parts are cliffs, some parts are as sharp as the ridge. The mountain is covered with forest.The rhododendron are here in Spring and the Autumn is colorful. The snowy Winter is also amazingly grogeous. Under the mountain, the Donggu river accompanied us all the way. Mountains and rivers are permanent, but the changing seasons make them have various landscapes. We stopped along the way.All of us sank in Donggu’s autumn and forget today's journey completely.
The stones here have different shapes in dark red. The stones of Honshi beach laid along the beach ,rolling kilometers, becoming a unique scene. According to expert analysis, the color of red stone is due to the growth of red lichen.But the relations between the red stones and lithology, climate, glaciers is not essential. In short, why does the red stones appeared here alone? This is still an unsolved mystery. If the mountain is bones, the water is the blood, the forest is the colorfulclothing, then these red stones are the most dazzling ornaments of Donggu, just like agate, turquoise, pearls and jade.
The water here is pure and charming with the beauty of streams and springs. Donggu river , also known as Maoniu ditch. The water here is not sufficient, but the drop is great,dropping from the 4000-meter high snow-capped mountains all the way down to more than 1700-metes high Dadu River with only ten kilometersbetween. That’s why the river is the most dynamic scenery there.The river is always anxious to jump all the way into the Dadu River. The river scene is spectacular but unfortunately, it is the end of the scenic area. The rush tourists could only hear the sound of water but had no time and opportunity to play water in the nature. Donggu River Spa is located at the junction of Daofu and Danba.There are many springs. The springs gathered in the bath. The local villagers do not have the concept of naked bath,but the evet happened here everyday. Men and women came here, calmly stripped into the water, enjoyed the hot springs with skin smooth and medical effects, and then leave comfortably. No one felt that this is not normal. No one deliberately to dew or cover.Only the the visitors blushed, which reminds me the story "Monk back woman across the river”.And who is the one with lust?
The forest here, is red in Spring with flowers, green in Summer with trees,colourful in Autumn with leaves, white in Winter with snow. Four different seasons with various colors . The seasonal changing makes there fairyland. The forest is the mountain’s clothes.Forest of Donggu is not expensive, but gorgeous. Due to the long-term cutting of the last century, the original forest has been very rare.the vegetation there is mainly secondary forest.Trees and shrubs are mixed including mountain poplar, birch, rhododendron, alpine pine , spruce and fir intercalation.Due to the differences in tree species, the secondary forest became rich and expressive, especially in autumn.In Autumn, the golden larch, red bait and evergreen spruce, formed the colorful forest.
Although Donggu is just a scenic area, the quality is not inferior to other scenic spots. However, the hearts of tourists passing by are filled with other scenic spots.And Donggu became the road embellishment, which is not very important.
By car: from Chengdu to Donggu River is about 400 km
Bus: Chengdu Chadianzi bus station, the bus to the Danba county takes about 9 hours . You can take a bus from Danba to Bamei, and then get off at the middle.
Chartered: chartered from Danba to the East Valley River, the cost is about 100 yuan.
